Location
The Jazz House is located at 3192 Adeline Street in Berkeley, a half
block southwest of the Ashby BART. (Please note there is an incorrect
Adeline Street in Oakland.)
The Jazz House is a small, non-descript warehouse
located next to the police station where Martin Luther King and Adeline Street meet.
A blue light and a peculiar "Ant" sign reside above the entrance.

About Lucas
Niggli's ZOOM:
Lucas
Niggli’s ZOOM is the union of the improvisational core of Jazz with the
esthetical sound-culture of contemporary music. This
small and agile group with two tenor instruments and drums speeds through
the highs and lows of today’s music.
The group
makes a bow to tradition here and jumps into the unknown there. The
compositions are very delicately crafted, especially with regard to sound. A
wide range of dramaturgies and energies come into play as their compositions
are both relaxed and simultaneously highly powerful.

"Fun
stuff that is curiously accessible, not easily pigeonholed, and eerly
unique."
"Niggli keeps the juices going, with oddball meters, quick changes in
direction, and plenty of Melody sandwiched between radical rhythms. Interest
never wanes."
